I just want to express my sympathy to George's family and friends. I knew George at university (UNB), but lost contact with him during that period. (I was an Arts guy but I did live in the same residence as George in my first year.) He was a great guy and a lot of fun. He was quite the guitar player and could pick out songs by ear. I thought he went to Australia after graduation. I never forgot him and would wonder occasionally how things were going in Australia! It seemed so George to emigrate like that. (He wasn't a big fan of Montreal, where he was from, when I knew him. The FLQ was quite active at the time.) I just found out that he had passed away when I looked in the latest UNB alumni magazine. Just passing along condolences. George was one of a kind with a vivid light hearted personality. He was a good guy.
