Condolence: Dear Sylva and Family
We are very sorry to lose Joseph from our circle of friends at Unionvilla. Your Dad was a thoughtful and gentle man with many hidden strengths. He provided comfort and companionship to our Mom, Ruth, over the past two years and I feel that she greatly benefitted from his company. I wish we had been able to better communicate with Joseph as I feel he would have had an interesting view of the world. I am glad that we had the chance to meet him and we always were happy to see him sitting with Ruth. We will truly miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family. Your Father was a sweet man and I know you will miss him deeply. During the hardest times remember all the good times you shared together.

Both Jacqueline and I really liked Josef (and, of course, Sylvie too). The minister at the funeral service was certainly correct when he described Josef as a real gentleman.

I remember when I first took Josef and Sylvie to a medical appointment. Because the appointment straddled the lunch hour, they insisted that they take me out to lunch, and we had a nice lunch and chat at the Markville Swiss Chalet. I also remember how well he cared for Sylvie, Whenever he was helping her into the car, he always placed his hand over her head lest she hit it against the car's frame. I made sure to do so as well.

Josef was also very polite. Even when living at Union Villa, he would let others enter the elevator before he did and would say a nice "hello" to whomever.

I know that all of you will miss Josef (and so will we). But, take heart in your memories of all of the shared good times that you had together.
