Condolence: Saddened to read of the passing of your mother, Anne. Just came across the obituary as I was searching for the obituary of my nephew, Doug Jones, who just passed away on Monday. How wonderful that you had her with you for all those years. God bless your family with comfort and peace knowing Lena is now enjoying the joys of heaven.

Condolence From: Jim and Pat McDowell

Condolence: The school at Mongolia was close to the Barkey home, and Lena welcomed me, Jim, and I suspect other Barkey children's friends with kindness and grace. Maybe part of this was the Barkeys getting a TV while my family debated its merits! But later on, as Anne shared Lena's many volumes of newspaper clippings, I realized how much she valued her neighbours and friends, and the collection is an outstanding summary of an important part of my life, too.
