Click here to view all obituariesAugust 1948, My family and I spent the week at the Co-op store camp in Rothesay. Frank was there with his mates. They had entered as team in the camp's football tournament but were one player short. So Frank talked my father into playing. My father was 41 and the rest of the team 16-18yrs old I do not remember how they made out in the tournament but my father always said that was the most enjoyable week he ever had playing football.
My other memory was on Saturday afternoon's going to the Caly station and taking the train up to Georgi Rd station with Davie,Archie and Willie Morris along with Frank and his mates to see our beloved Hearts play. I was only 6-8 at the time but was fascinated listening to the them talk football and how the Hearts were going to win that day.
