Young Eric .
Eric and I were apprentice printers in Manchester in the Sixties and we first met at the Manchester College of Science and Technology doing the four year day release program . The day involved morning ,afternoon and evening classes . The lunch break usually involved a Chinese at the Joy King restaurant close to the college , evening break was a pie and a pint with a game of snooker thrown in . I'd occasionally go over to the Benchill for a pint and we used to do the same clubs in Manchester . We were both MancReds so naturally we argued football , lol . Lost contact in the late sixties when we both started traveling but lo and behold we met in a golf game about 15 years ago and played frequently since . We Mancs have an ironic and dry sense of humor and Eric typified that , he was a lovely lad and will be sadly missed by all .
