QUINLAN, Mollie –
Passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice on January 8, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Robert for 58 years. Loving mother of Phillip, Anthony (Evelyn) and Richard (Dorothy). Proud grandmother of Lucie. Mollie, a proud Yorkshire woman was a graduate of Harrogate Nursing Hospital with specialties in paediatrics and O.R. Mollie was a midwife in over 90 deliveries. In 1954, in search of adventure she came to Canada, working in hospitals in Ottawa, Vancouver and Kelowna where she met Robert at the Nurses Spring Frolic. Mollie and Robert’s adventure took them to Edmonton, Kingston, Sarnia, Montreal and Markham. Mollie made friends wherever she went. Til the end her room was a hive of activity. Visitation will be held at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham, on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Highway 7, on Friday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hill House Hospice.
