SORLEY, Paul W. ( retired Funeral Director who worked in Toronto 1950 -2000 and long time member and Past President of the North Scarborough Rotary and was a member of the Paul Harris Fellowship) – Passed away suddenly on Friday February 28, 2014, with family by his side, in his 85th year. Paul was the Beloved husband of Geraldine (Gerry) Elsley for 63 years. Cherished father of David of Markham, Trudy Stephens and her husband Ray, of Oshawa, and Tammy Park and her husband Steve of Markham. Devoted grandfather of Shawn Stephens and his wife Lindsay, Aaron Sorley and his wife Dawn, Bryan Sorley, Amanda Stephens, and Dylan and Jordon Park and proud great-grandfather of Travis and Taylor Sorley. He was the dear son of the late Reverend Christopher and Muriel Sorley and loving brother of Isabelle Ostergarde, Grace Sorley, Tim Sorley, and Edythe Widdes. Much loved son in law of Mabel and the late Harry Elsley and dear brother in law of Jean, Joan, and Judy (Bryan). Paul will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and the rest of his family and many friends.
Friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham on Monday March 3, 2014 from 6-9pm A second visitation will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at Christ The King United Church 167 Thaler Ave at 11am. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
